After launching episode one of Kagiso’s Island of Treasure last week, fans of Kagiso’s as well as of the Tropika Island of Treasure reality series, that this much-loved SA comedian is on a mission to cause some nasty havoc in Jamaica – especially since he heard the news that he won’t be hosting the new season of Tropika Island of Treasure.

“I’ll show them! They will see,” is proof that Kagiso is not having it with any one who stands in his way of having a good, old Jamaican time – even though he can’t get his wish of hosting the new season – which will air on SABC1 in 2013.

As Kagiso arrives in Kingston, Jamaica he immediately goes in search of finding the right TV crew to help him shoot the show! Quite a ridiculously funny moment when he kidnaps them using a Tropika towel! Come on dude, use something more decent ext time around as we don’t know where that towel has been:-)

They as he aptly puts it: “If you want to make great TV, you’re gonna need a great crew. I’m pretty sure years toiling away in this industry have taught me everything I need to know about directing. Once I find the right people for the job all I’ll have to do is track down little Miss Rosina Casserly.”

In this week’s episode, we finally get to meet Rosina Casserly, but is she a tough cookie or will she fall victim to Kagiso’s charms? Will Kagiso’s new-found TV crew live up to his expectations? Only time will tell . . .

Check out this week’s episode to catch all the action!

Tonight was the first time R&B singer Chris Brown performed in Cape Town and boy did he disappoint! Look he is a great entertainer, dancer and an all-round musical genius on stage but he just didn’t deliver the goods in a below par vocal display, where his dance skills seemed to be more eye-catching than his actual singing.

Prior to me attending tonight’s concert, I heard the mixed reviews about his Carpe Diem Tour in SA, and the fact that he only played at each venue for just about an hour.

Armed with that info in mind, what I anticipated was going to be a lackluster performance – and he actually lived up to that expectation in many forms . . .

Singing live and dancing at the same time are genuine masterful art forms that not all singers get right. Chris, who is visibly thin and even went so far as to smoke a blunt (joint) on stage, showed the audience at Grand West Casino and Entertainer (on the first night of his tonight show in Cape Town) just why some critics compare him to being the “modern day” Michael Jackson.

There were  moments throughout the performance where I felt they lacked heart and soul, instead of the monumental crotch-grabbing tactics he pulled on stage. We know he likes to dance and can definitely bust a move, but then too on some other songs he managed to provide good stage presence.

I’m glad I got to see him live though! Chris Brown is a musical generation superstar that will keep entertaining for his fans! Check out this video with him on stage :-)

You may have heard me rave for months now about SA’s hottest export to Hollywood since Charlize Theron, and finally SA fans and audiences around the world get to see her play the female lead in a Hollywood film.

Cape Town-born actress Lesley-Ann Brandt is the female lead of the new independent film, Drift, which was shot in Margaret River, Australia late in 2011. It’s due to be released in Feb/March 2013 and also stars Sam Worthington (from Avatar fame), Xavier Samuel, Robyn Malcolm, Aaron Glenane and Myles Pollard.

For more details about Lesley-Ann and what she’s up to next, visit her website: http://www.lesley-annbrandt.com or follow her on Twitter and Facebook. Mark my words: there are great things to come from this talented South African, now based in Los Angeles.

Tropika Island of Treasure is back in a big way, folks! And SA comedian Kagiso Lediga has a lot to do with it. For those of you who may not already know, having been a contestant on season 3 of Tropika Island of Treasure, I am excited to see how season 5 will fare on TV when it premieres in February next year on SABC1.

Comedian Kagiso Lediga has jumped on board the Tropika bandwagon and shot his very own online reality TV show – as a build up to theseason 5 TV show premiere – which will be screened weekly via Tropika’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter platforms over the next 10 weeks.

I’ve just managed to watch the first episode and I must admit it’s hilarious! Kagiso dazzles as he aims to compete for the hosting job of Tropika Island of Treasure, only to discover that DJ Fresh is back to grace our TV screens this year. After hassling his agent for a over a month, Kagiso turns up the heat at his agent’s office and demands feedback on the show’s hosting gig – only to find out he is up against 5FM’s DJ Fresh.

This mockumentary show will see Kagiso fumbling his way through shooting his own show in Jamaica to beat DJ Fresh and the guys arriving for the Tropika Island of Treasure 5.

Season 5 of Tropika Island of Treasure will once again have 7 contestants taking on 7 celebrities head-to-head in challenges in the Caribbean island of Jamaica.

The vivacious former Miss Jamaica Rosina Casserly joins 5FM’s popular host of The Fresh Drive, DJ Fresh as hosts this season. Watch Kagiso ‘s quest to meet Rosina in Jamaica.

Over the 10 weeks, viewers will see how Kagiso’s Island of Treasure follows the comedian on a trip to Jamaica to shoot his own show on a very tight budget. What he comes back to SA with is a new perspective on the home of reggae and some crazy stories to tell.

During his trip, Kagiso has run-ins with Olympic medalists Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake, former Miss Jamaica and Island of Treasure 5 co-host Rosina Casserly, popular local singer Tessanne Chin, and fumbles his way through the Jamaican cultural experience at places like the Bob Marley Museum and the Ocho Rios dolphin cove. It’s going to be interesting to see what Kagiso conjures up next in Jamaica!

Just when all you Lady Gaga fans or Monsters thought you could handle the Lady Gaga fever in South Africa this summer – thanks to her spectacular performances of her Born This Way Ball in Johannesburg and Cape Town earlier this month – now you too could own Lady Gaga’s enthralling fragrance, LADY GAGA FAME.

Known to be the most followed celebrity on social media to date and one of the world’s biggest entertainers of our current generation, Lady Gaga, released LADY GAGA FAME in September this year. LADY GAGA FAME, which is Gaga’s first fragrance, was released through the Artist’s own Haus Laboratories in association with Coty, and it’s the latest breakthrough expression of her creativity.

There’s no doubt about it: Lady Gaga or “Mother Monster” (as she is known to her fans) knows how to push the boundaries in every projects she works on. And LADY GAGA FAME doesn’t disappoint with her debut fragrance – with it being the first ever black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne. The black-to-clear fragrance is also a fantastic innovation of patent pending fluid technology, while the uniquely styled bottle was designed in collaboration with Nick Knight, and the ad campaign was directed and photographed by Steven Klein.

LADY GAGA FAME is not just about the bottle, or the black fragrance! The scent is built around three main accords: dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade possessed by haunted beauties since the 18th century. The fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron and apricot nectar. And lastly, the light accord whispers magnificence. The rich floral layer of crushed Tiger Orchid & Jasmine Sambac embodies timeless beauty – giving LADY GAGA FAME it’s unusual, yet sexy scent.
